Mr. Bennet,

 

I have been a Christian Apologetics Minister for over 9 years in Colorado and I wanted to take a moment to comment on your show which aired September 5th, 2006.  You were discussing Islam and the tenets of its teachings.  You had two callers that morning I believe both were from Atlanta.  The first caller I believe her name was Maureen made an excellent point regarding Muslims and the Islamic religion as a whole by quoting from Matthew 10:32-33 in the New Testament.

 

Mat 10:32 Then everyone who shall confess Me before men, I will confess him before My Father who is in Heaven.

Mat 10:33 But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven.

 

Maureen brought immediate clarity to the questions of whether Islam is peaceful or Islamic teachings are valid when she quoted this verse. Jesus himself makes it very clear in this verse that whoever denies him, including his historical existence, his divine nature, his earthly teachings, his sacrifice on a cross and his bodily resurrection shall be denied by Him unto the Father. 

 

Islamic teaching within the Quran, denies the very core tenets of Christianity.  The Quran teaches that Jesus was not the Son of God, that Jesus did not die for our sins, that Jesus was not crucified, and that Jesus is not the Savior.  See the following Suras 4:157, 5:75, 9:30

 

4.157 And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the apostle of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure.

 

5.75 The Messiah, son of Marium is but an apostle; apostles before him have indeed passed away; and his mother was a truthful woman; they both used to eat food. See how We make the communications clear to them, then behold, how they are turned away.

 

9.30 And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

 

Islam also teaches within the Quran, the death and destruction of Jews and Christians. It is not a fringe group of Sunni Wahhabism who preach this message, the same message is also preached by the Shia Mullahs of Iran and that country’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and lastly the same message is preached in the Quran. See the following Suras   2:191, 4:74, 5:33, 9:29

 

2.191 And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.

 

4.74 Therefore let those fight in the way of Allah, who sell this world's life for the hereafter; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, then be he slain or be he victorious, We shall grant him a mighty reward.

 

5.33 The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His apostle and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement.

 

9.29 Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

This brings me to your second caller from Atlanta that day, he claimed to be a Christian and he voiced his concern over Christian pastors that were preaching against Islam and calling it a false religion. He also stated that it was only a small fringe sect of Wahhabist Sunnis who where teaching the hatred of Jews and Christians and this was not the tenets of Islam within its core teachings from the Quran.  As I have stated above this cannot be further from the truth, and this gentleman does not seem to have any credible knowledge of Islam.  Islam at all levels teaches to hate, to fight, and to kill Jews and Christians and all other unbelievers. This is taught within the Quran, The Hadith and by both Sunni and Shia Imams, Mullahs, and Muftis.

 

In closing Maureen had it right, there is only one way, one truth and one life for all mankind and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.  Islam is a lie built on foundation of historical revisionism and propagated by a series of violent expansionism demanding submission or death. Until the American people understand this truth and properly identify those who follow the lie of Islam as enemies, we will not be able to deal with the true threat they represent.
