The Good News of Jesus Christ

First and foremost I must realize that I am a sinner and was born into this world spiritually dead and separated from God. Further more I am currently under the Wrath of God because of my disobedience and sin.

Second, Jesus Christ came in the flesh and died a sacrificial death on the cross to pay the price for my sins (past, present and future).  He was placed in a tomb and then raised bodily from the dead on the third day. Now he lives and he offers his eternal resurrected life to me.

The moment I put my faith in Christ and what he has done for me in his death and his resurrection, I become a New Creation and I am justified and made righteous in the eyes of God.  I am made spiritually alive by the life of Christ. This is not because of anything I have done or can do but only because of Christ.

Lastly, there is no other path of salvation. No other hope for mankind. No other mediator between man and God.

Scriptural backing:

We are all under condemnation already before we come to Christ.

Joh 3:17  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.

Joh 3:18  He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

The Law does not justify us, the Law brings knowledge of our sin and becomes a tutor to point us to Christ.

Rom 3:19  But we know that whatever things the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law; so that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may be under judgment before God,

Rom 3:20  because by the works of the Law none of all flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law is the knowledge of sin.

Gal 3:23  But before faith came, we were kept under Law, having been shut up to the faith about to be revealed.

Gal 3:24  So that the Law has become a trainer of us until Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Gal 3:25  But faith coming, we are no longer under a trainer.

Jesus Christ came in the Flesh and died for our sins, was buried and rose on the third day.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh 1:14  And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

1Co 15:1  And, brothers, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and in which you stand;

1Co 15:2  by which you also are being kept safe, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

1Co 15:3  For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures,

1Co 15:4  and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures;

We where justified by the death of Christ while we were yet sinners.

Rom 5:8  But God commends His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

Rom 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Rom 5:10  For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love with which He loved us

Eph 2:5  (even when we were dead in sins) has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved),

Eph 2:6  and has raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,

We are saved by Faith alone, by the Grace of God. We now are a New Creation in Christ.

Eph 2:8  For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,

Eph 2:9  not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Gal 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.

Rom 6:4  Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father; even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Jesus Christ is the only hope, he is the only bridge back to a right standing with God.

Joh 14:6  Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.

Act 4:10  be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this name does this man stand before you whole.

Act 4:11  This is the Stone which you builders have counted worthless, and He has become the Head of the Corner.

Act 4:12  And there is salvation in no other One; for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

1Ti 2:5  For God is one, and there is one Mediator of God and of men, the Man Christ Jesus,

1Ti 2:6  who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
